The opening of the spa coincides with the launch of a new Peninsula 'Wellness' programme, which includes healthy organic meal options under the "Naturally Peninsula" food range at Peninsula dining outlets," Naturally Peninsula cooking classes, a 'Simply Peninsula' toiletry range and a range of calming spa music.
At the spa, ESPA has created a selection of 'Peninsula Ceremonies'. a selection of body treatments that reflect a fusion of Thai, Ayurvedic and European therapies. The impressive 19,000 sq feet spa area features 14 treatment rooms and four suites (two Private Spa Suites and two Private River Spa Suites), a tea lounge and relaxation rooms.
Therapists are subject to intense training to quality for ESPA and few other spas have a team who undergo such intensive, comprehensive and lengthy training programmes.
